Consular office at Dushanbe airport resumes its work

The consular office at the Dushanbeairport has reportedly resumed its work.

Mansour Hakimov, the head of the consular office at the Dushanbe airport says the consular office
resumed its work on May 6.  “The office
now works in full volume and issuance of entry visas at the airport has been
resumed,” Hakimov said.

We will recall that Tajikistantemporarily suspended issuance of entry visas at the Dushanbe airport on April 22.

According to the Tajik authorities, the issuance of entry visas at the
airport was temporarily suspended for technical reasons — lack of
communications between the consular office at Dushanbe International Airport and the MFA
Consular Directorate.

Some sources, however, attributed the suspension to a conference the
Islamic Revival Party (IRP) was scheduled to hold on April 27 on occasion of
its 40th founding anniversary.

Tokobayev, Vice President, Manas International Airport OJSC (MIA) reported to
the KyrTAG News Agency, Kyrgyzstan,
on Tuesday.

“Creating a hub at Manas International Airport includes the
construction of the second runway when using reinforced concrete, as it will be
able to take all large aircraft. The cost of this runway construction is
estimated between US $60 and US $100 million. The project will be implemented
in the coming years. At present, we are looking for an investor”, the
representative of the Airport’s management informed.

organize the Airport-owned refueling center. All these works are planned to be
carried out for 2-3 years. The overall project of creating a transcontinental
