Wages for Civil Aviation employees increased in Kazakhstan

Askar Zhumagaliyev, Minister of Transport and Communications of
Kazakhstan, reported that  wages for the inspectors
working with the Civil Aviation Committee have been increased this year.

“If we talk about civil aviation, then all the forces were sent this
year to eliminate the audit observations of the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO) and improve safety”, Mr. Zhumagaliyev said at a briefing in
the Central Communications Service Office under the Kazakh President.

According to him, in January 2013, the ICAO experts were invited, who introduced
80 amendments to the legislation of Kazakhstan, as well as one recertified
aircraft and airlines. “As you know, the  Decree of the President has increased the wages
for the inspectors working with the Civil Aviation Committee. This gave us the
opportunity to complement the Committee with qualified personnel”, the Minister
of Transport and Communications added.

Lots of work has been done to improve the infrastructure of airports. In
2013, one completed the reconstruction of airports in Kokshetau and runways at
airports in Shymkent and Taraz. “This allowed them to accept modern aircraft”, the
Minister clarified.

Also, 15 new air routes were launched this year and one approved new
rules for admission airlines to operate regular domestic commercial air traffic,
organizing air services for passengers at airports, one created/formed a single
operator to manage the airports and an ICAO Sub-Regional Safety Training Center,
the only one in Central Asia.
