Catch
a traditional Christmas pantomime

‘Panto’
has been a British Christmas and New Year tradition for centuries and if you
can grab tickets to a show during your visit then do! Pantomimes are comedy
musicals which often feature celebrity guests and take place across the
country. In London,
you could head to the Hackney Empire to catch their production of Jack and the
Bean Stalk which is running until January 3 2016.

Enjoy
your Christmas dinner…on the Thames

Tuck
into a traditional British Christmas turkey dinner while floating down the

tree in Trafalgar Squarehas been an annual gift from the people of Oslo, Norway,
to the British people since 1947 as a thank you for their support during the
Second World War. The tree is decorated with 500 white lights in traditional
Norwegian style and forms the spot where carol singers perform throughout
December and early January to raise money for charities.

the Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House

The
Nutcracker is a classic Christmas ballet telling the story of how a young
girl’s enchanted present leads her on a wonderful adventure. Danced to
Tchaikovsky’s glittering score, this story of Edwardian London is sure to have

Qatar Executive receives G650ER

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation formally delivered a G650ER to
Qatar Airways in a ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Savannah, Georgia.

The
delivery is the first of up to 30 Gulfstream aircraft Qatar Airways has agreed
to purchase. The sale, a combination of firm orders and options, includes the
G650ER as well as the G500 and G600.

“It
was a pleasure working with Qatar Airways on this project, because we share
their drive to provide unmatched safety, speed, quality, performance and cabin
comfort to customers,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “The G650ER
stands at the head of the class in all of these categories. Their customers
will be able to fly anywhere in the world at nearly the speed of sound, and
they will be able to do so in a healthy, restful and serene environment. This
aircraft will get them from Doha to New York, Cape Town or Beijing nonstop.”

Qatar
Airways Group Chief Executive His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker said that it
was an honour to be the first Gulfstream G650ER air charter operator in the Middle East.

“We
believe in giving our passengers a memorable experience every time they travel

Gulfstream
said that the G650ER is an ultra-long-range aircraft which can travel 7,500 nm

May 2014, and the aircraft received type certification from the Federal
Aviation Administration five months later.

Lufthansa to examine investment potential of aviation hub in Almaty

For an
objective evaluation of the proposals of potential investors to build aviation
hub under Almaty Ministry for Investment and Development (MID) RK attracted
Lufthansa Consulting GmbH Company.

According
to the results of the report of Lufthansa company, which will be presented
before the end of this year, MID RK will consider options for the concept of
building an international hub by increasing the capacity of the existing
airport of Almaty and/or construction of a new airport, as well as realization
mechanism of the project on a tender basis.

Potential
investors considered areas near the village Zhetygen and near Kapchagay city. Today,
interest in the project was expressed by the Kazakhstan-Qatar consortium «MG
Holding», the Kazakhstan-Chinese company «Tengri Holding», Singaporean «Changi
Airports International», the French «Vinci Group», Indian «GMR Airports» with
proposals to expand the capacity of existing airport, or to build a new airport
near the city of Almaty.

of 8 bln. US dollars, and choice of the company-investor does not reflect

The U.S. to give two military helicopters to Georgia

The U.S. will give Georgia two HUEY II military
helicopters costing US $18,608,036. According to the Georgian Government, this
is a part of the U.S. authorities’
grant to Georgia amounting US
50 million, according to the REGNUM News

.

Georgia will be able to use these military
helicopters for rescue operations. The Georgian Defense Ministry will receive
them from the United States,
together with spare parts and related instructions in 2018. The U.S. will
provide training of Georgian pilots to operate these helicopters.

Azerbaijan Airlines reduces prices on new tariff for Baku – Moscow flight – ADDED

Azerbaijan
Airlines (AZAL) CJSC has reduced the prices on the new Promo (class O) tariff
for the BakuMoscow flight with arrival to the Domodedovo
airport.

The
tickets for the flight from Baku to Moscow (Domodedovo) cost EUR 122, while from Moscow (Domodedovo) to Baku – EUR 110, AZAL told Trend on December 11,
2015.

“The
ticket price includes all fees, as well as food and hand luggage of up to eight
kilos,” said the company. “The cost of one piece of luggage weighing up to 23
kilos is EUR 25.”

Previously,
the tickets on this tariff neared 295 manats. The official exchange rate on December
11th was 1.1478 AZN/EUR. Flights are operated on Airbus A320 aircraft.

Bad weather delays flights in Almaty, Astana

Several flights have been delayed in the cities of Almaty and Astana due
to poor weather conditions.

Four
flights Almaty – Urumqi, Almaty – Ashgabat,
Almaty – Aktobe and Almaty – Amsterdam were
delayed at the Almaty International Airport.

Dense
fog also delayed domestic flights from Almaty to Astana, Aktobe, Uralsk and Shymkent, as well as two international
destinations, namely Dushanbe and Urumqi due to
unfavourable weather conditions in the Chinese city.

In
Almaty, there was heavy fog, the air temperature is -13C.

Latency
is from 30 minutes to 6-7 hours.

Flights
Astana – Uralsk, Astana – Aktobe and Astana – Urumqi were delayed at the Astana International Airport.

On
arrival,  flights from Kyzylorda, Aktobe
and Urumqi to
Astana were delayed as well.
