Saratov Airlines’ AN-148 crashed not far from Moscow, Russia

The passenger An-148 airliner operated by Saratov Airlines, Russia, crashed near the village of Argunovo, Ramensky municipal district, Moscow Region on Sunday, February 11, 2018,.

The aircraft with its registration number RA-61704 was operating its regular domestic flight no. 6W 703 en route Moscow – Orsk. According to media reports, there were 65 passengers and six crew members aboard the aircraft. According to reports from the scene, there are no any survivors.

The aircraft was produced in 2010 and had a valid airworthiness certificate. The liner had been operated by Rossiya Airlines since June 2010 through April 2015, then, since February 2017, it has been leased by Saratov Airlines.

Search and rescue work, which involves more than 150 people and 20 pieces of equipment, has been organized at the air crash site. The Prosecutor’s Office instituted criminal proceedings.
