Tajikistan, Azerbaijan note once again the importance to launch Dushanbe – Baku air service

Sharif Said, Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan met and held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Tajikistan Hasan Dilsuz oglu Mamadzad.

According to the press center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the meeting issues of establishing cooperation between Azerbaijani and Tajik business circles were discussed.

The parties expressed their mutual interest in using the existing potential to develop bilateral trade and further development of ties, through the organization of mutual presentations, conferences, exhibitions, fairs, business forums, etc.

According to Mr. Said, joint development of hydropower resources, mining industry, including processing of agricultural raw materials, creation of mini-factories for processing fruit and vegetables, development of beekeeping and creation of production facilities for its packaging and packaging can become the most promising areas for joint cooperation.

Also, according to Mr. Said, it is possible to establish cooperation in the production of juices and beverages, the supply of engineering products, the creation of a joint production of assembly plants for components and spare parts for cars and the like.

The Chairperson expressed his readiness to render all possible assistance in organizing trade and economic missions in Tajikistan on bilateral partnership and invited the business circles of Azerbaijan to participate in the forthcoming Tajikistan-2018 International Universal Exhibition, which is scheduled for August 2018 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

For his part, the newly appointed Ambassador thanked the Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the information provided and expressed his readiness to assist in establishing cooperation between the business community of the two countries and noted that the launching of an air service en route Dushanbe, Tajikistan – Baku, Azerbaijan, is of primary importance for this.

He also stressed that Azerbaijani companies are already working in Tajikistan and this experience is very important. In this regard, the guest noted the importance of implementing joint projects in the priority areas of economic development of the two countries.
