Azerbaijani business operator Silk Way Business Aviation sums up results of its work during Formula 1 Grand Prix of Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani business operator SW Business Aviation (Silk Way Business Aviation) summarized the results of its work during the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Azerbaijan, which was held in Baku on April 27-29, 2018.

Recall that SW Business Aviation in 2017 increased traffic by 20% compared with the previous year. Among the most popular destinations in the company are Moscow, Dubai, London, Istanbul, Tbilisi, as well as in-country tourist flights in the direction of Gabala. Currently, SW Business Aviation is one of the largest business aviation operators in the Caspian region. The company operates almost the entire line of Gulfstream aircraft, among which are models G650, G550, G450, G200 and G280. In the carrier’s airspace there is also an ACJ319 and twenty-seat ATR 42-500 in the VIP-layout. By the way, the salons of all business jets of the company are made according to individual design projects. The company is based in the Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The company was founded in 2007, but, despite the “young” age, is developing rapidly and successfully. Being a member of the EBAA (European Business Aviation Association), the company guarantees compliance of the air fleet with all international standards. Now the company employs about 100 people.

The track of Formula-1 in Baku (Baku City Circuit) is a real street road, located in the center of a large city in the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The 6-kilometer track partially passes along the very center of Baku, including along the old city. This is the fastest of the city’s trails, and the length of the circle is second only to the Spa. The track includes ten stands, a tower of the race management, a complex of boxes with the Paddock Club on the top floor and other infrastructure facilities.

The organization of the Grand Prix in Azerbaijan was carried out at the state level, which emphasized the status of the project and its importance for the country – and it immediately received the title of Grand Prix of Europe, but already last year the stage began to be called the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan.
