Manas International Airport continues to please: Guests from abroad met with classical music

A flash mob took place at the Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, with the participation of the State Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of Kyrgyzstan. This event took place on the occasion of the celebration of the 43rd anniversary of the Manas International Airport’s activities.

In the arrival hall, passengers of international flights were met with an exclusive concert program.

“On this important day for the company, we decided to give passengers an unusual gift, namely beautiful music and a spring mood. The concert consists exclusively of colourful, dynamic and unforgettable music numbers”, said Emir Chukuev, Chairperson of the Board, Manas International Airport OJSC.

In turn, the guests did not remain indifferent to such a surprise. “You cannot tell about this but you have to feel it!” – one of the guests described his mood of what he has seen and heard.

Nur Omurbayev is an artistic director and conductor.

Quintet is as follows: Nur Omurbayev, Anna Alyabyeva (violin), Dmitry Fedorov (viola), Anara Choturalieva (cello) and Artem Gulyaev (double bass).

The State Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of Kyrgyzstan was established in November 2007. In the CIS, this orchestra is still the only one, as it so boldly experiments and masters the music of modern times, while retaining the recognized creations of the world musical culture in the repertoire. The idea and initiative to create the orchestra belongs to its director and art director Nur Omurbayev.
