Direct flights from Astana, Aktau to Sochi launched

SCAT Airlines, Kazakhstan, launched direct regular flights from Kazakhstan’s Astana and Aktau to Russia’s Sochi.

“Starting since June 2, 2018, new regular direct flights from Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, were launched at Sochi International Airport. SCAT Airlines, Kazakhstan, operates its flights to the main resort of Russia twice a week,” RIA Novosti reported.

Astana – Sochi air service has been established for the first time, whereas Aktau – Sochi flights were carried out last summer.

Astana – Sochi flights will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Aktau – Sochi ones – on Mondays and Thursdays.

The first flight of this airline to the Sochi International Airport of Sochi was solemnly greeted with a water arch from the hoses of fire trucks.

Sochi is one of the cities, in which the World Cup 2018 will be held.

During the period from May 25th through July 25, 2018 because of the World Cup 2018, special registration rules are introduced for foreigners arriving in Russia.
