Kyrgyz Ministry of Transport considers resumption of Osh – Ankara flight

On June 12, 2018, the Committee of the Kyrgyz Parliament on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction considered the draft decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic “To Approve Draft Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Turkey to Establish Air Services” signed in Ankara, Turkey on October 14, 1994, as it was later ratified by the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 99 issued on September 22, 1999.

The Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads Zhenishbek Nogoibaev said that this must be done, as times change.

The Parliament asked when the issue of resuming the direct flight en route Osh, Kyrgyzstan – Ankara would be resolved, and the answer was received that this issue will be resolved before the end of 2018.

“As regards load capacities of flights from Osh, everything was fine at first, but then the number of passengers significantly reduced,” Mr. Nogoibaev said.

Later, the Kyrgyz Parliament approved the named Draft Protocol.
