Tajik Air Navigation to install its radio electronic equipment by the end of July 2018

The Tajik Air Navigation State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) has scheduled the installation of its radio electronic equipment for the enterprise’s activities to be completed by the end of July 2018.

The SUE notes that the installation of this equipment will increase the safety of flights on the territory of the country, including the safety of transit flights.

Recall that in the first half of June 2018, the Lower House of Tajik Parliament has exempted the import of equipment for Tajik Air Navigation from VAT and customs duties.

Then, speaking before the PMs, Deputy Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmuhammadien noted that the SUE is exempted from the value added tax and customs duties when importing modern radio electronic equipment.

Mr. Nurmuhammadien also reported that the total cost of this equipment is estimated at US $ 1.2 million. The amount exempted from taxes will come to US $ 278.4 thousand.

According to experts, the number of transit flights will increase with the installation of this equipment, and, as a result, Tajikistan will be able to get additional profit.
