Tourists buy their flights to Tajikistan spontaneously

The Service found out to which countries tourists do not go spontaneously and buy their air tickets a few months in advance, RIA Novosti reported.

Maximum depth of booking is observed in countries with expensive air tickets and long-distance flights, such as Cuba, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Maldives.

Experts say, “Everyone knows that buying air tickets is necessary in advance, but this “in advance” is different for everyone. Someone has a few months, and someone has a couple of weeks.” The Service found out to which countries tourists do not go spontaneously, but they “guard” their tickets. The depth of sales for the last year was taken into account (from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2018).

Cuba is on the first place in this rating. Tourists buy their air tickets to the Island of Freedom almost three months in advance (83 days). The 74-day advance period is on average if they buy air tickets to Sri Lanka and India is the third one (64 days in advance).

Also in advance, tourists prefer to book their air tickets to Europe: to Portugal (63 days), Malta (62 days), Spain and Croatia (58 days each) and Hungary (55 days).

One month in advance, 30 – 40 days prior to departure, air tickets are booked for those flying to Israel, Cyprus, Slovenia, Switzerland, Egypt, Germany, Finland, Norway, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates. People prefer buy their air tickets three weeks in advance id they plan to travel to Latvia, China, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

Tajikistan and Iran are the most spontaneous destinations, as their average depth of booking is 12 and nine days respectively.
