Georgian airspace’s load factor increased by 10.1%

The load factor of the Georgian airspace has increased by 10.1%, the Georgian Air Navigation Agency reports.

According to this source, 86,356 instrumental flights were carried out in the airspace of Georgia in January-July 2018. This figure is by 7,955 flights and by 10.1% higher, as compared to the rate for 2017.

According to the data provided by the Georgian Air Navigation Agency, the number of flights taken place during Jan-Jul 2018 amounted to 60,415, which exceeds the indicator of 2017 by 3,031 flights, i.е. by 5.3%.

The number of take-offs and landings amounted to 25,941, which means increase by 4,924 flights, i.е. by 23.4%.

Georgia’s airspace was used for transit flights most often by the following airlines: Turkish Airlines, Azerbaijan Airlines -AZAL, Qatar Airways and Thai Airways International.

Airzena – Georgian Airways, Turkish Airlines and Wizzair are among the leaders, as regards the number of takeoffs and landings at Georgian airports.
