Manas International Airport to have separate area squared 1,555 sq. meters for domestic arrivals

Construction and installation work is currently under way in the eastern part of the terminal building of the Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to improve the quality of passenger service. The project is aimed to re-profile and expand the area for domestic flight arrivals.

The Manas International Airport reported on August 10, 2018 that at the moment, there is only a sector at the airport for the departure of domestic flights, and the arrivals hall for passengers flying on domestic and international flights is yet one.

The introduction of a separate zone will increase the convenience and comfort for passengers and guests of the terminal building. For this purpose, a separate entrance/exit will be provided in the area for domestic arrivals. One will be from the apron in the northern part, and another one – in the southern part of the terminal building. In addition, a separate parking is planned for domestic airlines.

The general hall for domestic arrivals is divided into a baggage claim hall (854 sq. meters), where a separate conveyor for luggage delivery is installed, and a waiting room for those meeting (701 sq. meters). The total area of the domestic arrivals territory will be 1,555 sq. meters.

This territory includes women’s and men’s bathrooms, as well as a separate bathroom for people with disabilities.

Completion of major works is scheduled for August 31, 2018.
