Dushanbe – Samarkand flight launched a month ago suspended

Tajik Air has suspended the sale of air tickets for its flight en route Dushanbe, Tajikistan – Samarkand, Uzbekistan – Dushanbe due to the update of the flight schedule. Tajik Air informs it is temporary and soon air tickets for this flight will again be available at air ticket sales offices. However, the air carrier did not call the exact date of the resumption of these flights.

“This is temporary and is associated with the update of the flight schedule. Tajik Air does not intend to completely stop air communication on this air route. Air tickets will be available soon,” asiaplus.tj writes.

One of the air ticket sales agencies said that there were no air tickets available for the Dushanbe – Samarkand flight, while it was suspended and, possibly, this was due to the fact that there were not enough people.

“Flights on this air route are currently not sold, the airline suspended the flight. The plane flew on this flight only once, air tickets cost TJS 350, but there were very few buyers. I think, because of this, the flight was suspended. We do not know when they will launch the flight again,” said a representative of the agency named Bakhtiyor.

Recall that Tajik Air launched a flight en route Dushanbe – Samarkand – Dushanbe on July 28, 2018.

First, the one-way air ticket price was TJS 684, then the airline reduced the ticket price twice – by up to TJS 300 so the current price is TJS 350.

Regular flights between the cities of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were discontinued in 1992 and resumed only in 2017.

Currently, the Uzbekistan Airways planes operate Tashkent – Dushanbe – Tashkent flights, while Somon Air, Tajikistan – Dushanbe – Bukhara one.
