New rector of Civil Aviation Academy appointed

The Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Academy made a decision to appoint Tlek Yerbulekov to be the Chairperson of the Board and the Rector of the Civil Aviation Academy JSC, according to the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan.

The Chairperson of the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) under the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development Talgat Lastayev presented the Rector to the team to this educational institution, the CAC Press Service reported.

Mr. Yerbulekov graduated from the Aktyubinsk Higher Flight School of Civil Aviation in 1981 with a degree in engineer-pilot (flight operation of air transport). He received additional education in Dassault Aviation (France), Jet Tech International (USA), Interagency Aviation Committee (IAC), Flight Safety Boeing (USA), Turkish Airlines Training Center (Turkey) and British Airways Training Center (United Kingdom).

He began his career in 1981 as a co-pilot of the YAK-40 aircraft in the Petropavlovsk integrated squadron. At various times, he worked as the head of the Flight Safety Inspectorate of Air Kazakhstan CJSC, Production Director of Air Astana CJSC, was a member of the Higher Attestation Commission (WAC), Deputy Director of Berkut RSE, and also an instructor pilot of Boeing 757/767 aircraft owned by Air Astana CJSC.

In 2013, he served as Head of the Operations Department, CAC. From August 2013 to today’s appointment, he worked as an instructor pilot for a Boeing 757/767 aircraft of Air Astana CJSC.
