Flights to four major destinations to be launched – Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan

Zhenis Kassymbek, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Kazakhstan, told about the launch of new flights, reports.

“This year, the Ministry, together with Air Astana, will take steps to launch flights to Japan, the United States (New York), China (Shanghai) and other major cities in the world. An agreement has been signed with Tokyo, Japan. We will start the question on Accreditation with the aviation authorities of Japan. A project was developed and prepared to sign an Intergovernmental Agreement on Air Traffic. We plan to launch flights to four major destinations,”Mr. Kassymbek said during a government meeting.

Earlier, Nursultan Nazarbayev announced the need to launch flights to the United States and Japan. “Maybe at first these flights will be unprofitable, but you have to start flying. Help buying planes or using existing ones. This year, this issue needs to be solved,” the President urged in late January during an expanded meeting.
