Iranian airline plans to launch its new Aktau – Gorgan flight

Pouya Air, Iran, plans to start operating its flights en route Aktau, Kazakhstan – Gorgan, Iran, according to the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan.

According to the Civil Aviation Committee, active work is being carried out to ensure transport accessibility of passenger traffic by air between Kazakhstan’s regions and the cities of neighbouring countries.

“In particular, the Iranian designated airline named Pouya Air submitted its application to the Civil Aviation Committee under the Ministry of Reconstruction and Development, Kazakhstan, for accreditation of a foreign air carrier in Kazakhstan. From the period of spring-summer air navigation season in 2019, Pouya Air plans to start operating its direct international flights en route Aktau – Gorgan for the first time,” the Civil Aviation Committee said.

Flights are scheduled to be operated twice a week on the Embraer-145 aircraft.

The launching of flights will allow to develop further trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, as well as increase passenger traffic to and from the airport in Aktau.
