Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee warns about possible cancellation of flights to India

Due to the closure of airspace for international flights over Pakistan, the New Delhi, India – Almaty, Kazakhstan, flight was delayed, the cancellation of several more flights is not ruled out, according to the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan.

“Air Astana’s KC 908 flight en route New Delhi – Almaty, scheduled for February 27, 2019, is delayed due to the closure of airspace over the Republic of Pakistan for all international flights,” the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) reported.

Thus, the CAC clarified that departure from New Delhi was supposed to take place at 00:50 pm Almaty time, and arrival in Almaty was scheduled to be at 04:40 pm Almaty time. Currently, the airline makes a decision on the removal of passengers of the above flight.

“At the same time, the Air Astana’s flights KC 963/964 en route Almaty – New Delhi – Almaty, scheduled for February 27, and Air Astana’s flights KC 907/908 en route Almaty – New Delhi – Almaty, scheduled for February 28, 2019 may be cancelled,” the CAC added.

Passengers are advised to find out the status of these flights in advance in the Call Center and on the airline’s official website.
