Flights to India’s New Delhi cancelled – Air Astana

Air Astana JSC commented on the situation with flights to India, the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan, reported.

According to the Air Astana JSC information, all flights that were scheduled to fly to New Delhi today, February 28, 2019 are canceled due to the closure of Pakistan’s airspace before March 1, 2019. The Call Center of Air Astana promptly works out all possible options for carrying passengers of cancelled flights, including through the services of other air carriers in accordance with the IATA regulations governing force majeure situations.

Flight KS908 for February 27 en route New Delhi – Almaty has now departed and is heading to Muscat airport, the capital of the Kingdom of Oman, for refueling, then the plane will fly to Almaty. Estimated time of arrival in Almaty is 05:22 pm local time.

Recall, earlier it was reported that due to the closure of airspace for international flights over Pakistan, the New Delhi – Almaty flight was delayed.
