Civil Aviation Committee tells about the only Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in Kazakhstan

The Kazakhstan’s civil aviation sector has one Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft under its registration number UP-SJ001, the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) under the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Kazakhstan, reported, according to the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan.

“The aircraft is operated by Comlux-KZ. The aircraft was upgraded in the United States and this plane operates business flights only. It should be noted that the aircraft is not used on regular flights. The crews of the UP-SJ001 plane have completed a full course of training to operate such aircraft,” the CAC reported.

The Civil Aviation Committee also expressed their condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the air crash at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport.

Recall that as a result of the fire, 41 people died. There were 78 people on board the burned-out aircraft. A list of survivors and hospitalized passengers is also published on the website of Sheremetyevo International Airport.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, sent a letter of condolences to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in connection with the tragedy at the Moscow airport.

Roman Sklar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of the Government’s meeting noted that the case of the crash of the aircraft once again demonstrates the need to comply with all regulatory and safety requirements.
