FlyArystan Airlines sold over half of its air tickets at the lowest cost

The Kazakhstan’s FlyArystan Airlines summarizes the first operating results for the first seven days.

In total, the airline carried more than 10 thousand passengers to four destinations of its air route network including from Almaty to Nur-Sultan, Taraz, Karaganda, Uralsk (roundtrip air service). The number of flights completed by this first Kazakhstan low-cost airline in the first week amounted 63, the timeliness of their performance reached 82%, and the load factor of aircraft was 94%. The total number of tickets sold starting from March 29 to today exceeded 70 thousand.

Zhanar Zhaylauova, Sales and Marketing Director, FlyArystan, said, “In less than a month, we managed to sell 100% of our air tickets for the first flights and by the time of the first flights made from Almaty to Nur-Sultan and Taraz on May 1, there were no more available sales. First of all, it affected flights on holidays and weekends. For example, tickets worth up to KZT 10,000 (US $1 = KZT 380.5) accounted for more than half of the total number of tickets sold on May 1-7, 2019 for flights to all destinations, while, as regards the flights from Almaty to Nur-Sultan, Taraz and Karaganda, this figure exceeded 2/3 of all sold tickets. Experienced travelers are already planning their flights with FlyArystan right now, because the sale of air tickets is open on the website until October 26, 2019. And this means that cheap places for the hottest days have started to be bought up now. Therefore, it will be impossible to book a ticket at the minimum fare a few days before departure. The FlyArystan fleet consists of four Airbus 320-232 aircraft in a configuration of 180 passenger seats, with an average age of six years of operation.
