FlyArystan carried 720 passengers on the first day

On May 1, 2019, FlyArystan, a Kazakhstan low-cost airline, made its first domestic flight in Kazakhstan en route Almaty – Nur-Sultan on a comfortable 180-seater Airbus A320 airliner.

For the convenience of passengers who will receive high service and affordable prices, FlyArystan installed new Recaro 3530 SLIM seats in leather upholstery, with thin hinged backrests and wide pitch of seats from 70 cm to 82 cm. The second commercial flight of the airline was made: Almaty – Taraz – Almaty. Thus, on the first day of its operations, the airline carried a total of 720 passengers.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Astana, Peter Foster, is confident that great opportunities open up for the young and mobile Kazakhstani population, and now those who are interested will be able to travel more often and cheaper. “FlyArystan, working on the classic model of budget airlines, appeared at the right time and at the right time. We expect a significant increase in passenger traffic on both domestic and international routes of Kazakhstan. Because over time we plan to be based in other countries. In the meantime, we are ready to provide affordable flights throughout Kazakhstan and we hope that FlyArystan will make a significant contribution to the development of the regional economy,” Mr. Foster said.

At the same time, today the first Kazakhstan low-cost airline will launch two more expected destinations from Almaty to Karaganda and Uralsk, tickets for which were sold out in April. Thus, FlyArystan plans to transport 700 thousand passengers by the end of the year, gradually expanding its route network both domestically and offering its compatriots flights abroad.

“We were very pleased to bring joy to our passengers, among whom were those who flew an airplane for the first time in their lives. People were really happy that fast and comfortable flights became really affordable. We are confident that thanks to FlyArystan, residents of Kazakhstan will be able to see their relatives more often, build a business and develop the regional economy, domestic tourism and get acquainted with the beauties of their native land,” said Zhanar Zhaylauova, Sales and Marketing Director, FlyArystan.

Recall that on March 29, the low-cost airline FlyArystan opened ticket sales to six destinations from Almaty to the cities of Nur-Sultan, Taraz, Uralsk, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Shymkent.
