The first round table for executives of Central Asian airlines to be held in Tajikistan’s Dushanbe

The first round table for the CEOs of Central Asian airlines aimed to develop the regional civil aviation sector will be held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, the Tajikistan’s private air company named Somon Air reported.

The event will be held at the initiative of Somon Air and with the support of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of Tajikistan and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). It is expected that CEOs of Somon Air (Tajikistan), Air Astana (Kazakhstan), SCAT Airlines (Kazakhstan), QAZAQ Air (Kazakhstan), Uzbekistan Airways (Uzbekistan), and Avia Traffic (Kyrgyzstan) will take part in this event.

The meeting will review the current advantages of aviation in the region and economic prospects for the coming years, as well as regional obstacles for further development.

The issue of “smart regulation” and its application in Central Asian countries will be considered including safety aspects, the inclusion of IATA operational safety (IOSA) audits in national regulations, performance-based navigation; stable provision of jet fuel and analysis of airport charges in the region and other issues.
