Information about resumption of flights to EU disappears from Turkmenistan Airlines’ website

Information on resuming flights to European countries has been removed from the official website of Turkmenistan Airlines.

At the time when the Russian version of the flight schedule was published, one remained the only information about flight No. T5-464 en route Frankfurt – Ashgabat. However, this flight is not listed on the websites written in English and Turkmen.

Recall that on May 3, 2019 a new flight schedule for Turkmenistan Airlines was published, according to which flights to the EU were to resume since June 1, 2019.

On February 4, 2019 the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) banned flights for Turkmenistan Airlines over the territory of the EU. Later it became known that the ban was associated with some “divergences in the US and European systems that define the requirements and standards for the operation of aeronautical engineering.” Turkmen aircraft were designed according to US standards (Boeings), which did not suit the EASA.
