TAV-Georgia invests GEL 25 million in infrastructure

TAV-Georgia, which operates the airports in Tbilisi and Batumi, is expanding its operations in Georgia and is making new investments in development.

In particular, six new aircraft parking lots are currently being built, and new lighting is being installed. Parking is designed for aircraft such as the Airbus 320, 321, 318, 319; Boeing 737, MD-80, etc.

After the completion of infrastructure works, there will be 62 parking lots at the airport in Tbilisi. The project cost is GEL 8 million, it will be completed by the end of June 2019.

In 2019, there are also plans to expand parking for cars at the Tbilisi International Airport, which is currently designed for 1,100 vehicles.

By the end of June 2019, the expansion of VIP lounges at the Tbilisi International Airport will be also completed.

In general, up to GEL 25 million will be spent in 2019 on infrastructure works at the Tbilisi International Airport.

TAV-Georgia has been operating the airports in Tbilisi and Batumi for over 14 years.
