Kazakhstan’s Almaty International Airport to return seats after perturbations by passengers

Part of the passenger seats will be returned to the waiting room of Almaty International Airport, Tengrinews.kz reports referring to the airport.

It is reported that the possibility of returning some of the passenger seats was considered by the airport management after a rising wave of indignation among passengers, as well as among users of social networks.

“We analyzed the reaction of the population, and, most likely, part of the passenger seats will be returned. First of all, for passengers with children and the elderly. Np one knows now how many seats will be at the airport. The management decides this question regarding the quantity, but there will be enough seats,” the airport in Almaty informed.

Earlier, the airport reported that the passenger seats were removed from the waiting room at Almaty International Airport. As it turned out later, this was done because of the homeless and taxi drivers. Passengers waiting for check-in for a flight are sitting on their suitcases. The deputy of the Kazakh Parliament’s Lower Chamber Irina Smirnova wrote about this on her Facebook page. In confirmation, the lady published her photo of people waiting for departure and sitting on their baggage.
