From Karaganda to Moscow: new air route launched in Kazakhstan

A new direct flight from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, to Zhukovsky airport, Moscow Region, Russia, has been launched, according to the official website of the Karaganda regional Governor’s Office.

Flights will be operated regularly and air tickets have already been on sale, the report says.

“Until June 18, 2019 the planes will fly from Karaganda to Moscow, to Zhukovsky Airport, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Starting from June 18th – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Departure from Karaganda – at 09.00 am local time, the destination arrives at 09.05 am Moscow time. The flight lasts three hours and five minutes,” the Governor’s Office informed.

The IrAero Airlines’ website indicates that return flights, Moscow – Karaganda, take off at 00.05 am local time, and arrival is expected at 06.50 am, that is, the flight time will be three hours and forty-five minutes.

The cost of a standard air ticket with the possibility of its return is RUR 12,756 on the air carrier’s website or this is about KZT 75,400 (USD 1 = KZT 384.2).

In May 2019, the Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan – Moscow (Zhukovsky), as well as Kokshetau, Kazakhstan – Moscow (Zhukovsky) regular flights were launched, which are also operated by this air carrier registered in Russia.

IrAero Airlines JSC has been operating in the Russian passenger market since 2006. In previous years, it operated its regular flights to Kazakhstan en route Karaganda – Novosibirsk, Russia.
