Aircraft of Iranian airline lands in Tajikistan’s Dushanbe after long-term break

Yesterday, a plane with 90 passengers on board belonged to Varesh Airlines, Iran, landed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, TajikTA reports.

This aircraft took off in the afternoon on June 6, 2019 to fly back from Dushanbe to Iran. Passengers of the Iranian flight were greeted and escorted in a solemn atmosphere.

It is worth noting that until this day there have been no any direct air services en route Tajikistan – Iran over the past eight months. The passengers who wanted to fly to Iran, had to travel in transit through Istanbul or Dubai.

The fact that Varesh Airlines, Iran, resumes its direct flights en route Mashhad, Iran – Dushanbe – Mashhad on June 6, 2019 became known on May 31st. It was noted that the first flight from Tajikistan to Iran will be made by Varesh Airlines on its Boeing 737-500 with a capacity of 120 passengers.

It is also known that flights on this air route will be carried out once a week, and the cost for a one-way air ticket is US $250.

Recall earlier planes flew from Tajikistan to Iran twice a week. The flights were made by Osmon Air, Iran, and Tajik Air, the national air carrier of Tajikistan, but due to financial problems these flights were suspended.
