Almaty – Osh – Almaty new flight launched

Today, June 7, 2019 QAZAQ Air, Kazakhstan, solemnly greeted the Almaty, Kazakhstan – Osh, Kyrgyzstan – Almaty flight at Osh International Airport. 64 passengers arrived with the first flight from Almaty on Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.

By tradition, the aircraft was greeted with a water arch of triumph. Osh Vice Mayor Asylbek Topchubaev, Consul of Kazakhstan in Osh Daniyar Atanov, Adele Dauletbek, Chairperson of the Board, QAZAQ Air, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the Osh International Airport branch of Manas International Airport OJSC Talantbek Ysakov and the others arrived at the meeting with the passengers of the first flight between the named cities.

Also, the check-in for the Osh – Almaty flight took place in a festive atmosphere. Earlier, the airline announced a free flight to Almaty from Osh, if passengers came for check-in procedure in their national Kyrgyz or Kazakh outfits. So, four passengers met the conditions and flew to Almaty for free.

The passengers departing to Almaty, as well as the ones arriving in Osh, noted the comfort and convenience of this flight.

In his speech, Mr. Ysakov emphasized the importance and significance of the event for the company in particular and in general for residents and guests of Osh and the country’s southern region including Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions.

“The issue of launching a regular flight has been worked out for a long time. Thanks to joint efforts and negotiations, it was decided to start flying this summer. It is worth noting that such a flight has not been operated since the day when Kyrgyzstan gained its independence,” he said.

Flights will be operated twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays.
