Number of airlines suspend their flights to the capital of Sudan

Some airlines have suspended their flights to the airport of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, but the rest continue to make flights, a spokesman for the Mohammed al-Mahdi airport said, Trend reports with reference to RIA Novosti

Earlier it was reported that such airlines as Fly Dubai, Emirates, Turkish Airlines and Egypt Air canceled their flights to Khartoum due to the unstable situation in the city.

“Some global airlines including Emirates, Etihad Airways and Egypt Air have stopped their flights to Khartoum airport, while some global and regional airlines continue flights to Khartoum Airport, including Ethiopian Airlines and Sudanese Tarco Aviation and Badr Airlines,” Mr. al-Mahdi said.

According to him, a number of passengers sent their complaints through the Khartoum airport to the United Arab Emirates in connection with the cancellation of flights by Emirates and Etihad Airways.

At the same time, Mr. al-Mahdi stressed that Khartoum Airport is fully prepared to take all flights of world airlines. In addition, he added that domestic flights continue in the usual way.
