International Airlines Group announces intent to buy 200 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes

One of the world’s largest airline groups announced it plans to build its future fleet with the Boeing 737 MAX with an intention to purchase 200 MAX jets. International Airlines Group (IAG) and Boeing [NYSE: BA] said the two companies have been in discussions regarding the opportunity and signed a letter of intent at the Paris Air Show in a deal that would be valued at more than $24 billion, per list prices.

Qazaq Air launches Atyrau – Nur-Sultan direct flight

Since July 07, 2019, Qazaq Air, Kazakhstan, will launch its direct domestic flight en route Atyrau – Nur-Sultan. Flights to Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport will be operated once a week on a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft according to the following flight schedule:

Turkmenistan Airlines to launch its third Ashgabat – Kazan flight frequency

Starting from July 3, 2019 Turkmenistan Airlines will introduce its third flight frequency en route Ashgabat, Turkmenistan – Kazan, Russia – Ashgabat in addition to the current two flights per week operating on Fridays and Sundays. The third flight will fly on Wednesdays, according to the Aviaport edition, Russia.

Air Malta starts operating its regular flights to Georgia’s Tbilisi

Air Malta received the right to operate direct flights to Tbilisi, the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia reports.

All Buta Airways flights to Kyiv will be temporarily operated to the Boryspil Airport

Due to the temporary closure of Juliani International Airport, from September 2 to September 12, 2019, all Buta Airways flights to Kyiv will be operated to Boryspil International Airport, Trend reports with reference to the company.

IrAero Airlines operates its first Baku – Yekaterinburg – Baku regular flight

IrAero Airlines, Russia, has started operating its regular international flights from the Yekaterinburg’s Koltsovo International Airport, Russia, to the capital city of Azerbaijan. On June 18, 2019 the air carrier operated its first regular flight en route Baku – Yekaterinburg – Baku.

AIRBUS at Le Bourget: Day Two

The second day of the 2019 Paris Air Show was also marked by the signing of a number of large orders for Airbus aircraft, including the new A321XLR model (extra-long range), presented by the company on the first day of the air show. Qatar Airways has led the 2019 World Airline Awards global airline ranking, which was made by Skytrax, a British marketing company. The air carrier has been the leader in this rating for the fifth time in the history of all conducted surveys.

QAZAQ AIR takes delivery of the new De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400

Kazakhstani regional airline QAZAQ AIR has taken delivery of its new Dash 8-400 aircraft P4-AIR (MSN 4598) from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (“De Havilland Canada”) following the arrival of P4-FLY (MSN 4595) two months ago. It is planned that the new turboprop will commence regular flight services from the Kazakhstan capital Nur-Sultan in July.
