FlyArystan carried 200 thousandth passenger

FlyArystan reports that it has transported its 200 thousandth passenger. The jubilee passenger made his journey on August 2, the day after three months of operations.

According to the results for the Q1 2019, the domestic low-cost airline sold over 280,000 air tickets, 71% of which made their flights from May to August 2019, while about 1/3 purchased their air tickets several months in advance. Thus, the number of air tickets worth less than KZT 10 thousand amounted to more than half of all sold. It is worth noting that at the end of July the airline opened the sale of its air tickets for the winter period – flights until March 28, 2020, 130 thousand of which passengers can purchase at minimum prices up to KZT 10 thousand on the official website

“The peculiarity of the work of low-cost airlines is their quick take-offs and landings, which means the shortest parking at airports. Thanks to this principle, we manage to carry out up to 14 flights in one day, and this is on two Airbus A320 aircraft. After expanding the FlyArystan fleet to four aircraft in in the fourth quarter of this year, we plan to expand the air company’s route network,” said Zhanar Zhailauova, Director of Sales and Marketing, FlyArystan. She also added that for three months the load factor of passenger seats was 94%. While 93% of the air carrier’s 1,167 scheduled flights are on schedule. At present, FlyArystan is one of the domestic leaders in terms of timeliness of flights, which indicates our productive operations and a high level of service.

We remind you that the first Kazakhstan low-cost airline named FlyArystan made its first flight on May 1, 2019 from Almaty to Nur-Sultan. Then it launched its flights from Almaty to Taraz, Karaganda, Uralsk, Shymkent, Pavlodar and vice versa.

FlyArystan is a division of Air Astana, based in Almaty and awarded the rating of a four-star airline for quality of service, as well as the “Best Airline of Central Asia and India” award according to the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

The FlyArystan fleet consists of two Airbus 320-232 aircraft in a configuration of 180 passenger seats, with an average age of six years of operation.

By 2022, there are plans to increase the airline’s fleet to 15 aircraft, which will be based in different cities of Kazakhstan.
