Uzbek national removed from plane in Novosibirsk bound to Seoul over suspected terror attack

A national of Uzbekistan was removed from plane en route from Novosibirsk to Seoul over terrorist attack threat.

During taxing, one of passengers on board of the plane, a South Korean national, reported to a flight attendant she heard how another passenger, national of Uzbekistan, was allegedly discussing explosion in the phone conversation. The crew made the decision to return to the apron for security check. Passengers and crew members were evacuated.

The transport police used special dogs, but found no terror threats on board. The plane departed with 2-hour delay. The plane took off at 04:09 am instead of 02:00 am as initially scheduled.

The South Korean passenger with her child refused to fly. The Uzbek national was removed from the plane for further investigation.
