Georgia registers eight drones for shooting Hollywood movie

In order to produce professional aerial and video surveys, the foreign operator XM2 UK LIMITED has passed the mandatory registration procedure for unmanned aerial vehicles in accordance with the rules established by the Civil Aviation Agency.

The Civil Aviation Agency has granted the company permission to operate in a specific category, which allows the operator to fly at altitudes that exceed the limits of the open category, with different conditions of remoteness from buildings, etc.

XM2 UK LIMITED is registered in the UK. Its unmanned aerial vehicles have various technical and flight characteristics. In particular, the largest (three units) have a maximum take-off mass of 70 kg.

High-tech unmanned aerial vehicles will be used in aerial photography of a series of episodes of one of the Hollywood films.

Filming will be carried out within the framework of the “Take Off in Georgia” program of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
