Statistics of passenger services at Georgian airports in July 2019

All five Georgian airports including ones in Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Mestia and Ambrolauri altogether served 571,848 passengers in July 2019, which is by 44,959 passengers less than in July 2018 (616,807 passengers), according to the Georgian Airports Association (GAA).

According to the GAA, the drop in passenger traffic by 7.3% was caused by the suspension of direct flights to Russia on July 8, 2019.

At the same time, in July 2019, the Tbilisi International Airport served 384,632 passengers, which is by approximately 10 percent less (44,494 passengers), as compared to the same period last year. In July 2018, this airport served 429,126 passengers.

During the same reporting period, passenger flow decreased at Batumi International Airport. In July 2019, 100,432 passengers were served at Batumi Airport, which is by 10,893 less than in the same period last year. In July 2018, this airport served 111,325 passengers.

The Kutaisi International Airport increased its passenger traffic by 14%. In July 2019, the airport served 85,738 passengers, whereas in July last year – 75,372 passengers.

As for the airports in Mestia and Ambrolauri, in July 2019 they served 1,046 passengers. In 2018, this figure was 984 passengers.
