Resident of Kazakhstan’s Akkol smashes helicopter’s windshield and porthole

A 38-year-old resident of Akkol broke the windshield and the porthole of a helicopter located on the territory of the state-owned enterprise, Kazinform reports citing the Akmola Regional Police Department.

“On August 4, at 08:15 am local time, the Akmola Regional Police Department received a telephone message from a 60-year-old local resident who works as a security guard in one of the state enterprises. He said that unidentified persons entered the KazAvioLes unenclosed guarded territory located in Akkol and damaged the Eurocopter EC-145 helicopter, board number EC-029.  Windshield and a side window were damaged. In fact, law enforcement officers initiated pre-trial proceedings on the “Deliberate Destruction or Damage to Another’s Property”, the Akmola Regional Police Department said.

During the operative-search measures in hot pursuit, police officers identified a 38-year-old local resident. As it became known later, the incident occurred due to hostile relations with the security guard of the enterprise.

“The suspect has been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility and he was tried,” the Akmola Regional Police Department added.
