FlyArystan aircraft makes its maiden Semey – Nur Sultan direct flight

A new city appeared in the air route map of the first Kazakhstan low-cost airline named FlyArystan. This is a flight to Semey, Kazakhstan. Having replenished its fleet with another 180-passenger seat Airbus A320 aircraft, the air carrier flew from Nur Sultan to Semey and then returned back (roundtrip flight).

The cost of air tickets for Semey – Nur Sultan flights is KZT 5,999+ (one-way), (USD 1 = KZT 389) which is by 58% lower in comparison with the competitors’ current prices for this flight. The duration of the named flight is just an hour. It is worth noting that 72-year-old Gainikamal Kamzabekovna and 70-year-old Koshembaykyzy Kazima were among the passengers of the first flight en route Nur-Sultan – Semey and they, like the oldest passengers, cut the red ribbon stretched on the occasion of the festive event.

Also, the Mayor of Semey Ermak Salimov, who believes that the appearance of a low-cost airline will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the work of the reconstructed airport and will also attract a large number of tourists to celebrate the anniversary of the Kazakh poet, writer and thinker Abay Kunanbaev, also congratulated his fellow countrymen on an important event. By the way, the celebration is scheduled for 2020.

Zhanar Zhailauova, Director of Sales and Marketing, FlyArystan said, “We are pleased to announce the receipt of our third plane, which began flying to Semey, following Taraz, Shymkent and Pavlodar. From now on, residents of Nur-Sultan will be able to get to the second largest city of East Kazakhstan region not only quickly and comfortably, but also very affordably. We hope that flights to Nur-Sultan will be only one of several destinations for Semey residents, and this can be provided in the future.”

By the end of this year, another aircraft will join the FlyArystan fleet, and during 2020 it is planned to expand the fleet to 10 aircraft, which will increase the number of flights and destinations by five times.

The low-cost airline named FlyArystan is a division of Air Astana, based in Almaty and awarded the rating of a four-star airline for quality of service, as well as “The Best Airline of Central Asia and India” award according to the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

The FlyArystan fleet consists of three Airbus A320s in a configuration of 180 passenger seats, with an average age of six years of operation.

By 2022, there are plans to increase the airline’s fleet to 15 aircraft, which will be based in different cities of Kazakhstan.
