President of Moldova arrives in Ashgabat with Turkmenistan Airlines scheduled flight

President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon arrived in Turkmenistan on October 10 to participate in a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State.

According to the cadres of Turkmen television, Mr. Dodon flew to Ashgabat on a Turkmenistan Airlines plane. It was unclear whether this was a special flight, however, judging by the data from the flightradar24 website, none of the 18 planes of this air carrier made flights to Chisinau, Moldova.

In the television report, shots were cut off when the President of Moldova left the plane.

We note herein that in order to save the state budget, Igor Dodon flies to meetings with the economy class of regular flights. In exceptional cases, colleagues provide him with their private jets.

Earlier, commenting on the news about his flights, Mr. Dodon said that Moldova was in too difficult economic situation for the president of this state to allow himself to fly on his own plane.

Recall that the president of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has two Boeings for personal use, namely 737 (EZ-A007) and 777 (EZ-A777).
