Young lady removed from Almaty – Karaganda domestic flight in Kazakhstan for smoking an electronic cigarette

Since the beginning of the year, transport police have brought to administrative responsibility 43,277 citizens in Kazakhstan for various administrative offenses, including 2,981 for violating the smoking ban, Kazinform reports referring to the Transport Police Department.

So, on October 11, 2019, a message was received from the FlyArystan representative addressed to the Linear Police Station at the airport in Karaganda that there was an offender on board the aircraft flying en route Almaty – Karaganda.

During the inspection, transport police identified a 26-year-old resident of Almaty, who, while on board the aircraft, was smoking an electronic cigarette. According to the act of the crew commander, she was removed from the flight.

An administrative protocol has been drawn up on this fact under Article 441, part 1-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Consumption of tobacco products and (or) electronic cigarettes on board an aircraft) and a fine of 50 MCI has been imposed.
