RUTM recommended to Kyrgyzstan

On October 8, 2019 the Coordination Council of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) for the training of aviation personnel was held at the base of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after I. Abdraimov in Bishkek.

The event, in the format of the scientific and practical seminar named as “Use of Unmanned Aircraft for Civilian Purposes”, brought together more than 50 participants including representatives of the state authorities of Kyrgyzstan, operators, airports, aviation training centers, as well as representatives of the Russian air navigation industry.

The seminar participants were given the opportunity to undergo training under the program “Use of Unmanned Aircraft for Civilian Purposes”, and also learned a lot of useful information from the report of the adviser to the director of the Research Institute of Air Navigation Andrei Yablokov on the implementation of the national innovation project named “Formation of a national concept for integration of airborne navigation into the airspace of the Kyrgyz Republic “and the unmanned aircraft flight information support system known as RUTM being created in the Russian Federation.

As a result of the event, the IAC made several recommendations for the aviation authorities of Kyrgyzstan, including the decision “to the Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic to use the experience of creating the Information Support System for unmanned aircraft in the airspace of the Russian Federation (RUTM).”

Mr. Yablokov commented specifically for Sky Review, “The interest of foreigners in the Russian concept of RUTM can be understood, since it is a modern technological solution for introducing drones into the common airspace. The RUTM architecture is built on advanced technologies in the world of air navigation.”

It is worth recalling that in early October 2019, RBC announced that the RUTM project was approved at a meeting of the interagency working group led by Assistant to the President Andrei Belousov. The concept is developed by ASTRA JSC.

RUTM is a domestic development of air traffic management for drones. The project provides for the development of technological infrastructure that will allow air corridors to be allocated for drones in automatic mode; observe the intervals between flights, connect drones to each other without dispatchers.

IAC is the executive body of the CIS Interstate Council on Aviation and Airspace Use. It was established in 1991.

The Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic is a subordinate body of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic, which carries out state regulation, executive, control, regulatory and other functions in the civil aviation sector.
