Tbilisi – New Delhi flights to be operated daily since March 2020

Regular flights en route Georgia – India begin, Trend reports citing the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency.

The Indian low cost Indigo Airlines (InterGlobe Aviation Limited) enters the Georgian civil aviation market.

According to the data received, the first flight en route New Delhi, India – Tbilisi, Georgia – New Delhi is scheduled for March 05, 2020.

During the remaining period of the winter air navigation season 2019-2020 (until March 28), the airline will operate flights daily, seven times a week. Flights will be operated on Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.

The Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia has granted Indigo Airlines permission on October 30, 2019 to operate scheduled flights.

There is still no regular Georgia – India air service.

An agreement on direct air traffic between the two countries was signed on April 11, 2018.

Indigo is an Indian private, domestic, low cost airline based in the city of Gurgaon, in the eponymous county, Haryana. Its flights connect 22 cities of India. Its home port is the Indira Gandhi Delhi International Airport.

Indigo is the winner of the 2008 Best Domestic Low Cost Carrier Award in India.
