The rest buy air tickets at average levels. Thanks to the FlyArystan effect, a large number of people appeared in the country who finally transferred from other types of transport to the plane and made their first flight in life. It was possible thanks air tickets available at a cost of less than KZT 10,000 (US $26), which accounted for 47% of all passenger seats sold.”

At present, the low-cost airline’s air route network consists of 10 domestic destinations; by the end of the year, three more new routes will join the rapidly growing network. So, on the fourth aircraft, the air carrier will begin flights from Nur-Sultan to Zhukovsky. And by the end of 2020, the FlyArystan fleet will be expanded to 10 A320 airliners, which will make it possible to launch work at new air bases at the airports of Karaganda and Aktobe. Thus, the air route network of this low-cost air company will increase to 40 destinations.

Tim Jordan, CEO, FlyArystan, is confident that in 2020 Kazakhstan will become one of the fastest growing domestic air transport markets in the world. “According to market analysis, in October this year, the Kazakhstan passenger market grew by 33% and is one of the fastest growing domestic civil aviation markets, which became possible mainly after the appearance of FlyArystan in the civil aviation market. And this will open up even more opportunities for FlyArystan, a group of companies Air Astana and, of course, for all Kazakhstan residents. For comparison, in 2018, India became the leader in the growth of domestic air transportation, which over the year increased the number of air passengers by 19%,” Mr. Jordan said.
