Somon Air to buy helicopters from Airbus. How much do they cost?

Private Tajik airline named Somon Air wants to buy five helicopters from the Franco-German Airbus Helicopters, which is part of the Airbus Group.

The corresponding agreement was signed by the parties on November 7 as part of the official visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Paris.

It has not yet been announced which particular Airbus Helicopters models the Tajik air carrier intends to buy, but just a few days ago, Kazakh media reported that Somon Air had acquired the first Airbus Helicopters helicopter.

It was noted that the helicopter was assembled by the Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering joint venture (50% of JSC NK Kazakhstan Engineering – 50% of Airbus Helicopters).

Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering is the only company in the CIS that is engaged in the sale of H145, H130, H125 helicopters and related services (training of flight personnel, maintenance) in the Kazakh market and the CIS (Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia).

The first such helicopter – H125 – has already been bought by Somon Air. It is designed for five passenger seats, the airline plans to use it, primarily for business purposes and tourism.

Such a machine, on average, costs more than $ 3 million.
