AZAL aircraft makes emergency landing in Azerbaijan’s Ganja

Due to adverse weather conditions at the Baku airport (heavy fog) on Sunday, November 10, 2019, the captain of the AZAL New York – Baku flight decided to land at the Ganja airport, Azerbaijan, Trend reported.

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft landed safely at Ganja Airport at 07:33 am local time.

Flight passengers were accommodated at the airport terminal and were provided with food and drinks.

After weather conditions improved, the plane flew from Ganja to Baku at 10:01 am Baku time and landed in Baku at 10:37 am.

Note that heavy fog also led to some flight delays from the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Currently, the Baku airport is operating normally.
