Russia’s Iraero Airlines may launch another regular flight from Russia’s Omsk to Kazakhstan

IrAero Airlines, Russia will receive admission to flights en route Omsk, Russia – Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Nowadays, Air Astana, the Kazakhstan’s flag air carrier, is the only one that flies from Omsk to Kazakhstan.

The Federal Air Transport Agency (FATA), Russia, will issue permission for IrAero Airlines to carry out international air service en route Omsk – Karaganda. The order was signed by Alexander Neradko, CEO, FATA, on November 8, 2019. According to this document, the maximum frequency of flights along this air route will be seven days a week.

As part of the winter flight schedule for the Omsk airport, there is one regular flight to the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan. It is served by Air Astana.

In October, the Federal Air Transport Agency revoked the admission to flights to Karaganda from Orenburg Airlines, which was previously issued in May 2017. The air carrier never launched a flight to Kazakhstan.

On November 6-7, 2019 Omsk hosted the 16th Interregional Cooperation Forum between Russia and Kazakhstan, at which, in particular, an agreement was signed on interaction between the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region, Russia, and the Public Councils of the Karaganda and Kostanai Regions of Kazakhstan.
