Aeronautical data from EU and Eurasian airports to be stored on Baku servers

As part of the work program of the Dubai Air Show 2019 in Dubai, an agreement was signed between the Director of the Department of Air and Air Navigation (AZANS) Farhan Guliyev and the Executive Director of Hungarian Air Navigation HungaroControl Kornel Szepessy on the creation of a digital aeronautical data exchange highway airports in Europe and Eurasia with centers in Budapest and Baku, Trend reports with reference to AZAL.

This agreement will allow the creation of a stable digital backbone channel for the transmission of aviation data between the EU and Eurasia, as well as a repository of aeronautical data on servers in Baku and their further distribution to users of Eurasian countries.

The strategic goal of this cooperation is to ensure the safe and reliable exchange of critical data in the field of air traffic management, which will contribute to the continuity and interoperability between Europe and Greater Eurasia. Even during the Digital Transformation Day conference held in October 2019 in Baku, AZANS and Hungaro Control recognized that such systems will continue to be the basis of the technological revolution in the field of air navigation.

Note that in the largest city of the United Arab Emirates – Dubai hosts the annual air show and exhibition Dubai Air Show 2019, which is one of the most prestigious and significant aerospace events in the world. It is attended by over 60 countries, represented by companies from various fields of aviation.

A delegation of Azerbaijan Airlines headed by AZAL Vice President Eldar Hajiyev attended the exhibition.
