Increasing the efficiency of working with clients, increasing the client base and expanding customer reach in the market are important objectives of VTB’s strategy,” Mr. Ivanter said.

“We are glad to cooperate with such a leader in our industry as VTB Leasing and hope for the further development of our partnership, which is aimed, first of all, at improving and the quality of air transportation,” Thomas V. Hallam II said.

Earlier it was reported that Somon Air wants to buy five helicopters of the Franco-German company named Airbus Helicopters, which is part of the Airbus Group Corporation.

The corresponding agreement was signed by the parties on November 7, 2019 as part of the official visit of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Paris.

It has not yet been announced which specific Airbus Helicopters models the Tajik air carrier intends to buy, but in early November, Kazakh media reported on the acquisition of the first Airbus Helicopters helicopter by Somon Air.
