UAE’s Flydubai to increase cargo transportation between Uzbekistan and Persian Gulf countries

Flydubai Airlines will help strengthen the flow of goods between Uzbekistan and the countries of the Gulf Commonwealth, Mohamed Hassan, Vice President, Flydubai Cargo, said at the 16th TransLogistics Uzbekistan International Exhibition.

According to him, Uzbekistan is an important trading partner for the United Arab Emirates. He also noted an increase in demand for freight services in Uzbekistan.

“We have delivered over 125 metric tons of various cargoes to Uzbekistan since we entered this market in March 2019. We hope that trade flows between the countries will only grow over time,” Mr. Hassan said.

He also emphasized that thanks to agreements with other air carriers and a strategic partnership with Emirates SkyCargo, the Emirate airline has built its air route network with more than 300 destinations. This allows companies from Uzbekistan to supply their goods worldwide.

Flydubai Cargo mainly supplies perishable goods, such as fresh vegetables and fruits from Uzbekistan to the Gulf countries.

The airline mainly delivers general cargo including various gadgets and spare parts for them, drugs, mail and even animals to Uzbekistan. Deliveries to Uzbekistan come from Europe, India, China, the UAE and Singapore.

In March 2019, Flydubai launched its direct flights en route Tashkent – Dubai and began to provide its air cargo services, becoming the first airline from the UAE operating in Uzbekistan. Currently, this airline operates five flights to Tashkent weekly.

As an air carrier, Flydubai can deliver general cargo, perishable, priority and valuable goods, animals, parcels and mail.
