Natives of Uzbekistan were victims of plane crash in Canada

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Uzbekistan confirmed a media report about the deaths of natives of Uzbekistan namely Otabek Oblokulov and Bobomurod Nabiyev, as well as their family members (seven people) as a result of the air crash of a light-engine private plane that occurred in Ontario, Canada, on November 27, 2019, Kazinform reported.

The MFA notes that the plane was controlled by Mr. Oblokulov, who, together with his wife and three children, as well as other relatives, was flying from Toronto to Kingston for a weekend. According to preliminary information, the weather could have caused the plane crash.

As a result of urgent measures taken, including negotiations with the Kinston police, it was possible to establish the identities of all the victims. The Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs is taking measures to resolve consular legal and organizational issues on the return of the bodies of the deceased to their homeland.

Earlier, Canadian media reported on the death of seven people as a result of the air crash of a small plane near the airport in Kingston located in the Canadian province of Ontario.
