5 millionth passenger identified at Kazakhstan’s Nur Sultan International Airport

The five-millionth passenger was identified at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, Tengrinews.kz reports with reference to the airport’s press service.

Zeynep Nurgazina was the passenger of honour. She arrived from Pavlodar. A woman works as a teacher in a kindergarten.

“The name of the five-millionth passenger was determined by chance through counting. Radilbek Adimolda, Chairperson, Airport Board, handed the winner a prize and familiarized everyone with the achievements of the airport. The five millionth passenger received a travel suitcase as a gift, and the airline presented a certificate for flights to any destination,” the press service reported.

According to the results for Jan-Nov 2019, the passenger flow of this airport amounted to 4.7 million passengers, which is by 9.2 percent more than the similar results for 2018, and the number of flights has exceeded 19 thousand, which is by 3.7 percent more than the similar results for 2018.

Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport takes and departs up to 200 flights and serves over 14,000 passengers daily.
